Some countries require travellers to confirm a negative COVID-19 test before they leave New Zealand. You can check the requirements of the country you are travelling to, by contacting their local high commission, embassy or consulate in New Zealand.

PCR Nasopharyngeal Swab - Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR).
Our testing staff will take a sample from the back of your nose using a long flexible plastic swab, here at the practice.
Your sample/test will be sent to a local laboratory, for PCR testing.
The laboratory will provide a result directly to us. This usually returns within 24-48 hours.
Assuming the test is negative, you will be provided with a Fit to Fly Medical Certificate and a copy of your result.
In the unlikely event the test is positive, your health provider will talk with you about what happens next.
The fee for this service is $199.00

Rapid antigen test, often abbreviated ‘RAT’, detect the presence of specific proteins from the SARS-CoV-2 virus, such as the nucleocapsid or spike protein.
Our testing staff will carry out or supervise a Rapid Antigen swab here at the practice.
The main advantage of rapid antigen tests is that the sample does not need to go to a lab and results can be returned in 30 minutes or less.
Assuming the test is negative, you will be provided with a Fit to Fly Medical Certificate.
In the unlikely event the test is positive, your health provider will talk with you about what happens next.
