We offer a wide range sexual health services, see details below.

You will need a consultation with a doctor or nurse prior to any surgical procedure to asses your situation and discuss the appropriate treatment options for you. - Standard appointment fees will apply.

Our clinicians each have special areas of interest. Please inform the receptionist what you are booking for so that we can link you up with the appropriate clinician.

  • Free sexual health visits.

    We offer Free Sexual Health visits for people aged 14 to 17 years.

    To be eligible for free sexual health services, you must be eligible for funded health care in New Zealand.

  • Contraceptive counselling and treatment.

    There are many different methods of contraception. Your choice of contraception will depend on your age, health and the status of your relationship. Talk with our registered health professionals to determine which method is best for you. They will ask about your health so they can recommend the safest contraception options for you.

    Fees.

    • Free for people aged 14 to 17 years.

    • Nurse lead clinics $5-35

    • GP lead clinics $5-102.

    • Reduced fees are dependent on you meeting eligible criteria

  • Testing and treatment for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) .

    We offer testing and treatment for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs).

  • Long acting reversible contraception.

    Long-acting reversible contraceptives are methods of birth control that provide effective contraception for an extended period without requiring user action.

    They include injections, intrauterine devices, and subdermal contraceptive implants such as Jadelle®, Copper and Mirena® intra uterine devices and Depo Provera.

  • Emergency contraception.

    Emergency contraception is a birth control measure, used after sexual intercourse to prevent pregnancy.

    There are different forms of Emergency contraception such as the ECP ('Morning After Pill') or coper IUCD.

  • Vasectomy.

    Vasectomy is an operation for permanent sterilisation in men.

    It is a short and relatively painless procedure. If you are sure you have finished your family or do not want children we can get this wrapped up in a couple days for you/

  • Contraceptive implants and IUCD's.

    An IUCD is a type of long-acting reversible contraception (LARC).

    The device goes inside your uterus for a period of three, five or ten years, depending on the device you chose. Some contain hormones, and others do not. It works by stopping the sperm reaching the egg from the hormones or copper in the device or stopping fertilisation and the egg from attaching to the wall of the uterus.

    You can chose to have this taken out whenever you want.

  • Jadelle.

    The Jadelle implant, is a type of long-acting reversible contraception (LARC).

    The implant is made up of two small rods. The rods are put under the skin in the inside of your arm. They slowly release a hormone called progestogen which can stop your body from releasing an egg each month and also thicken the mucus in your cervix so sperm cannot get to an egg.

    They work for up to five years but you can have them taken out whenever you want.

    Please note prior to having this implanted you require a consultation to find out if this is method of contraception is suitable for you.

  • Depo provera.

    Depo Provera injection is a type of long-acting reversible contraception (LARC).

    The injection is given on a regular weekly cycle usually every 12 weeks. It contains progestogen which works to prevent pregnancy by stopping the ovaries releasing an egg each month and changing the lining of the uterus.

    You can chose to stop this method of contraception at any time.

    This medication is required to be prescribed so prior to your fist does you will require a consultation with a GP to find out if this method of contraction is suitable for you.

  • PrEP.

    Pre-exposure prophylaxis or PrEP refers to the use of HIV medication by people who are HIV-negative in order to reduce their risk of HIV infection.

  • Pregnancy testing & pregnancy care..

    In New Zealand you have access to free maternity care.

    If you want to simply get a pregnancy test we can offer this free of charge if the result comes back positive - negative results will incur a $15 charge.

  • HPV vaccination.

    HPV vaccination is designed to protect you against types of the human papillomavirus which can cause cervical, penile, anal and throat cancers.

    The vaccine is free for New Zealand residents aged between 9 and 26, and at a cost for all anyone else.

    It is most effective if you get it before you become sexual active or have any sexual contact. It is however still worth getting immunised even if you have become sexual active or had any sexual contact.

  • Cervical screening.

    Collect your free condoms from reception, alternatively if you prefer to be discreet you can collect a pack from our restrooms.
