Terms of trade.

The following Terms of Trade apply to services provided by Doctors on Cashel to its patients.

By signing the Doctors on Cashel PHO enrolment form, or patient details form, the patient agrees to these terms of trade.

New enrolments.

  • As part of our enrolment process, all new patients are required to attend a New Patient Health Check.

  • This service is carried out by one of our Nursing or Health Care Assistant team members

  • The purpose of this check is to enable our team to co-ordinate transfer of care, and better understand your health history and current health and wellbeing.

  • The fee for this service is $30.00.

  • Following the new patient health check, you can book your first consultation with your nominated doctor.

Appointments.

  • We allocate 15 minutes for consultations. This is generally enough time to deal with one complex or two minor health concerns.

  • If you have several complex issues, you will need to book a subsequent appointment.

  • We do our best to run to time, however the unpredictable nature of our work means that sometimes there may be a wait.

Cancelation.

  • A cancellation fee will be charged if you fail to keep an appointment or give less than 2 hours’ notice of cancellation.

  • The fee will be at the standard consult rate for the time booked.

  • If you no longer need your appointment, you must call us to cancel, giving us at least 2 hours as we may be able to reuse the appointment time.

  • We do not accept emails to cancel an appointment as the email may not be read in time. Please ring or cancel your appointment through the patient portal.

Fees & payment.

  • Payment is expected at the time of the consultation or service.

  • A current price list is displayed at the reception counter, and on our website.

  • Prices quoted for services may be adjusted from time to time, and the customer hereby agrees to pay any such adjusted price.

  • Where payment is not made on the day, and account remains unpaid after 7 days the discounted fee for payment on the day will no longer apply.

  • We reserve the right to ask for payment on arrival (before a service is provided, to ensure payment).

  • Doctors on Cashel may withhold further provision of service where there is any outstanding amount due. Unless it is a medical emergency.

  • We are very happy to work with our patients who are concerned about their ability to pay. If this is the case please discuss your account with the Accounts Manager.

Default & consequences of default.

  • If any fees remain unpaid, 30 days after payment is due, your account may be lodged with a Debt Collection Agency, and you will incur additional costs associated with the debt recovery.

  • Doctors on Cashel acknowledges its obligations and duties under the Privacy Act 2020

  • By enrolling with us you authorise us to:

    • Disclose any information about you for the purpose of instructing other people including a debt collection agency to recover any outstanding fees from you.

    • All accounts that remain unpaid may be recorded with a Credit Reporting Agency which may affect your credit rating.

Zero tolerance policy.

  • Our practice values care and respect for our patients and staff alike. To honour this, we have a zero tolerance to any disrespectful behaviours to our staff. Patients who dishonour this may be asked to enrol elsewhere.

Review of terms.

  • Doctors on Cashel reserves the right to review any of these terms at any time. Following any such review, if there is any change to these terms, that change will take effect from the date on which the company gives notice to the customer of such change.
